About me

Born and Raised in Rwanda (Rubavu, Western Province). I attended undergrad (in Civil Engineering) at Kyung Hee Univ., Suwon, South Korea. Following, I earned an M.S. (Civil Engineering), from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.

In Dec. 2020, I graduated from Texas A&M University, College Station, with a Ph.D., in Civil and Environmental Engineering specializing in geotechnical materials. Advisor:  Professor Yong-Rak Kim,  Ph.D. Topic: “Advancement of Performance Test Methods of Bituminous Mixtures for Practical Implementation and Fundamental Understanding of Deformation and Fracture”

After doing post-doc training for a year at Texas A&M University, I joined Tesla Inc. in March 2022 as an Analysis Engineer (based in Fremont, CA.)

My Core Strength:

  • Strong skills in finite element modeling and testing -FEA correlation.
  • High proficiency in Abaqus (Implicit & Explicit)
  • Hands-on experience with mechanical testing, fixture design, and data processing
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and people skills: leadership, teamwork, mentoring, and management.
  • Wide range of knowledge in heterogeneous multiphase materials, computer scripting, and non-linear optimization.
